Saint Mary's College of California
Assistant Professor Tenure Track, Leadership Department, Kalmanovitz School of Education

Background:
The Kalmanovitz School of Education seeks a full time, tenure track, assistant professor in the Leadership Department to teach in the Administrative Credential/Master of Arts in Educational Administration (MAEA) and the Master of Arts in Teaching Leadership (MATL) programs. The Administrative Credential and Master of Arts in Education Administration programs prepare future school leaders to meet the enormous challenges of leading schools in the 21st century. Students who earn an Administrative Credential are eligible to receive a certificate, authorizing them to work as school administrators in California. After completing their Administrative Credential, graduates may go on to earn a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration.
The Master of Arts in Teaching Leadership focuses on developing leaders from a peer perspective. Through the practice of shared inquiry, active and collaborative learning, and community engagement, the programs empower students to lead change according to the principles of social justice and the common good. The programs strive to serve as an academic resource center and active learning environment specializing in environmental literacy, Lasallian education, and urban education, known for partnerships with schools and other organizations, emphasizing action research.
