FACULTY POSITION Assistant Professor in Educational Technology Tenure Track

The Department of Educational Studies at the University of South
Carolina invites applications for a full-time Assistant Professor
(tenure track) in Educational Technology.
The anticipated start date for the successful applicant is August 2014.

Qualifications:
Candidates should have: (1) an earned doctorate with preference for
Educational Technology or Instructional Technology; (2) evidence of
experience teaching online courses; (3) evidence of a focused
scholarly agenda; and (4) potential to develop extramural funding.
Preference will be given to applicants who can support the area(s) of
instructional systems design, web accessibility, simulations,
assistive technology, applied cognition, and universal design for
learning.

Responsibilities:
A successful applicant will perform the following: work with current
faculty and accrediting agencies to advise candidates in the M.Ed. in
Educational Technology and Ed.D. in Curriculum and Instructional focus
on Educational Technology; teach online courses in Educational
Technology, Instructional Systems Design, and Web Accessibility;
establish a strong and ongoing agenda for research; seek external
funding; direct graduate student research; and serve on departmental,
college, and university committees as assigned.
