We are happy to report that the Journal of Latinos and Education is ranked among top journals worldwide!

The SCImago Journal Rank (SJR indicator) is a measure of scientific influence of scholarly journals that accounts for both the number of citations received by a journal and the importance or prestige of the journals where such citations come from.

Among 20,544 journals, the JLE ranks 79 (in the Cultural Studies category) and ranks 380 (in the Education category).

The Journal of Latinos and Education (JLE) is published quarterly in January, April, July, and October for a total of 4 issues per year by Taylor & Francis Group, LLC, 325 Chestnut Street, Philadelphia, PA 19106.

JLE provides a cross-, multi-, and interdisciplinary forum for scholars and writers from diverse disciplines who share a common interest in the analysis, discussion, critique, and dissemination of educational issues that impact Latinos. There are four broad arenas which encompass most issues of relevance:  (1) Policy, (2) Research, (3) Practice, and (4) Creative & Literary works.

PsycINFO/Psychological Abstracts; Contents Pages in Education; Current Index to Journals in Education; EBSCOhost Procucts; Education Research Abstracts; ERIC Clearinghouse on Rural Education and Small Schools (ERIC/CRESS); Family Index Database; Hispanic American Periodicals Index; Lingusitics and Language Behavior Abstracts; Cabell’s Directories.

All research articles in this journal undergo rigorous peer review, based on initial editor screening and anonymous refereeing by two anonymous referees.

Average acceptance (rejection) rate of the journal: 35% acceptance (and inversely 65% rejection).

Taylor & Francis Group and the JLE are members of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE)
