Description


We conceive of the field of Native American / indigenous studies broadly, in both geographic and identity terms, and we are especially interested in work that critically engages these very definitional questions both theoretically and practically.  The new member of our faculty will join a vibrant anthropology department, and will be encouraged to participate actively in the formative phase of the University’s interdisciplinary Native American and Indigenous Studies program. The selected candidate will be expected to teach both undergraduate and graduate courses, develop a strong research program, direct graduate research, demonstrate evidence of successful research productivity, and exhibit a commitment to service to the department, college, and university.

Salary is competitive and dependent on qualifications and experience. Position funding is pending budgetary approval.
