Marquette University invites applications for a tenure-track, assistant/associate professor
in the Department of Educational Policy and Leadership in the College of Education with a
specialization in educational leadership and policy. Candidates with a doctorate in higher
education, social science disciplines and/or education leadership and policy should apply.
Our department has a deep commitment to social justice, high quality research, and the
preparation of exemplary leaders in both K-12 and higher education. Marquette follows a
teacher-scholar model in which teaching and research are both valued. We seek a colleague
with research and teaching interests related to issues of race, equity and access, retention of
underrepresented students and/or pathways to degree completion. Candidates should have a
promising or established record of research and publication, and effective teaching and
leadership experiences.

The successful candidate will: (1) teach in the following areas: leadership, policy,
organizational theory, and/or other courses related to the applicant’s areas of expertise; (2)
advise and teach graduate and undergraduate students; and (3) engage in service activities
within the University. An earned doctorate in an appropriate field is required. Start date is
August 15, 2016. Salary is competitive.
