The UT Department of Slavic and Eurasian Studies is holding a FREE professional development workshop/teacher training seminar on Saturday, April 26th from 9:30am-4:00pm

The UT Department of Slavic and Eurasian Studies is holding a FREE professional development workshop/teacher training seminar on Saturday, April 26th from 9:30am-4:00pm (coffee, donuts & lunch will be provided to attendees!). We would like to extend the invitation to all College of Education students who might be interested in attending. Registration and event details can be found online at: http://www.utexas.edu/cola/depts/slavic/events/30947

The event will be geared towards K-12 teachers, but will feature lectures by UT faculty and graduate students as well as Fulbright-Hays recipients of the 2013 "Siberian Voices" Group Project Abroad, where a team of UT faculty, UT graduate students, and Texas K-12 teachers spent a month traveling through Southern Siberia to Tuva, Lake Baikal, and along the Trans-Siberian Railway. The focus of the project, called Siberian Voices, was to learn about Siberian cultures, history, and religions, and to develop related curriculum for current and future U.S. educators.

This would be a great opportunity for future teachers to meet and network with potential future colleagues!

Please see the attached flyer.

Thank you in advance for helping us get the word out!
