Assistant Professor or Associate Professor of Educational Policy Studies at UW Madison

Official Title:
ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR(C30NN) or ASSISTANT PROFESSOR(C40NN)

Degree and area of specialization:
1. Earned doctorate (or equivalent) in History, Education, or related field.
2. Expertise in the history of education with an emphasis on race, ethnicity, immigration, and/or urban education.
3. Potential for excellence in scholarly research.
4. Capacity for excellence in teaching.
 
Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:
Teaching experience and commitment to working with diverse populations strongly preferred.

Principal duties:
1. Graduate instruction and course development in history of education and related topics of substantive research expertise. Supervision of research for M.A. and Ph.D. candidates.
2. Undergraduate instruction and course development in history of education and related topics of substantive research expertise. Advising of B.A. candidates in Education Studies.
3. Orginal research and scholarly publication.
4. Committee service associated with departmental, School of Education, and university membership.
5. Active engagement in professional service at the state, national, and/or international level.
