Semillitas de Español is seeking an Immersion Program Director.  Semillitas de Español has offered parent and child Spanish classes for the last 5 years and is getting ready to offer immersion drop off classes for children ages 18-5yrs old.  We are seeking a full time (30-33hrs/week) Director for our Immersion program.  

Together with the Family Programs Director, the Immersion Program Director will:

- Work with the state of TX to acquire licensing for Immersion program

- Lead immersion classes in small groups with 18m-5yr old children

- Develop curriculum for immersion program

- Maintain communication with parents of enrolled children

- Interview, select and train staff

- Manage enrollment and seek ways to promote and grow our program in the community

Requirements

- Native Spanish speaker 

- BA/BS degree with at least 12 credit hours in child development (required) and 3 hours in business management (preferred)

- At least one year experience in licensed day care center or registered child care home working with children ages 0-5yrs

- Embodies gentle guidance principles

- Creative, engaging, affectionate

- Excellent communication, organization, administrative skills

- Bilingual education or linguistics background is a plus

- Experience/Knowledge of emergent curriculum and Montessori teaching approaches is a plus

- Experience developing curriculum is a plus
