Scholarships: Hispanic Scholarship Fund January 1st-March 30th, 2015

In order to reach more students and improve selection, we have updated HSF’s scholarship eligibility criteria, developed a new scholarship application, and designed a quicker selection process. 
HSF’s merit-based scholarship awards range from $500-$5,000 and are available for undergraduate and graduate students from all majors and fields of study. 
 The new scholarship opens January 1st and closes March 30th with the following revised selection criteria:

·         Must be of Hispanic heritage
·         Minimum of 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent) for high school students
·         Minimum of 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent) for college and graduate students
·         Plan to enroll full-time in the fall of the desired scholarship year to  an accredited 4-year university or graduate school
·         U.S. citizen, permanent legal resident, DACA or eligible non-citizen
·         Complete FAFSA or Dream Act (if applicable)
Key Dates:
·         Application opens:  January 1st
·         Priority Deadline #1: January 31st
·         Priority Deadline #2:  February 28th
·         Application closes:  March 30th
Although the scholarship opens January 1st, you can do the following now:
1.       Refer high-achieving Latino students to HSF through your MyHSF profile. Create or update your MyHSF profile here.
