U.S. Policy Communication Training Program, The Population Reference Bureau

The Population Reference Bureau (PRB) is pleased to announce its new U.S. Policy Communication Training Program. The first cohort is being recruited now, with applications due on February 22, 2015. Please see our announcement (online and attached) for eligibility criteria and instructions on how to apply. Please share this information with graduate students in demography programs and related areas of study.

This training program builds on PRB’s 40-year legacy of training researchers to communicate their findings for policy change. We are pleased to be able to offer a program designed to develop skills that U.S. researchers need to communicate with U.S. policy audiences, including decision makers and the media. Through the generous support of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), Eunice Kennedy Shriver Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD), we are able to offer an in-depth policy communication training to U.S. citizens and permanent residents studying demography, population health, and reproductive health in doctoral programs at U.S. academic institutions.

We hope you will join us in spreading the word about this new opportunity. If you have questions, please contact Elizabeth Gay at USPolicyTraining2015@prb.org

Thank you,

Elizabeth
