The first biennial "Global Latino Education Advocacy Days Summit"
with a central theme on "Latino and Latin American Transglobal Educational Processes"

Please join us for a one-day summit as we convene key stakeholders: teaching professionals and educators, researchers, academics, scholars, administrators,
independent writers and artists, policy and program specialists, students, parents, families, civic leaders, activists, and advocates.
In short, those sharing a common interest and commitment to educational issues that impact Latinos.

The purpose of the Global LEAD Summit is to bring attention and discussion to critical issues in Latino education worldwide.
This year’s Global LEAD will focus in engaging dialogue in order to help create bridges between Latino Education in Latin American and the US.
Representatives from different countries will form part of each panel ensuring that different sectors of the world will be able
to discuss some of the initiatives within those research fields.
 
The summit will include panels and plenaries that bring to light the transnational and transglobal policies, practices, and processes
that affect the preparation, access and quality of education / achievement / and social change  - organized into the following strands:
- Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM)
- Biliteracy/ESL/TESOL
- Teaching/Pedagogy
- Arts and Education
- Immigration/Migration
- Community Development, and
- Research, Publication and Dissemination
 
A special issue of the Journal of Latinos and Education on GLOBAL EDUCATION will also serve as a compendium publication.
