The
Women's Community Center of Central Texas is looking for an intern for
the summer! This position will focus primarily on event planning and
outreach. We will also ask for help staffing the information desk at our
new drop-in center at 1704 San Antonio.
We
expect the time commitment to be ten to fifteen hours a week. We want
to make this internship economically accessible, so it pays $11/hour.
We are looking for someone who:
- Is reliable
- Has great communication skills
- Is able to work independently
- Has a positive attitude
- Is knowledgable about the Austin community
- Is passionate about gender equality
Most
of all, we seek someone excited about the opportunity to help start an
organization we hope will be a welcoming place for women and allies to
find resources and work together to build a better community for Texas
women and girls!
