Academic Studio 2014-15 Faculty Openings 
Entering its fourth year as a full-day, diploma-granting college preparatory high school, NOCCA’s Academic Studio seeks faculty candidates who believe in and have experience with the principles and practices of learning in and for the 21st century.  For forty years, the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts (NOCCA), Louisiana’s arts conservatory for high school students has been on the pioneering edge  of interdisciplinary education with alumni including Wynton Marsalis, Wendell Pierce, Harry Connick, among many others.
An “A-rated” school, and one of the highest performing academically open enrollment schools in Louisiana, NOCCA seeks academic faculty candidates for the 2014-15 who will continue a long tradition of outstanding education of artists.  Ideal candidates will have five years of successful work experience as a teacher, scholar or practitioner in the discipline, or a comparable setting.  Candidate will also have an advanced degree in the field they wish to teach and experience with team teaching in interdisciplinary, project-based, technology-enhanced learning environments.
