The Reading, Foundations, and Technology department (RFT) in the College of Education at Missouri State University Springfield continues to invite applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in middle level education to begin Fall, 2016. RFT houses several graduate degree programs and an undergraduate middle school program, as well as providing service courses to other undergraduate and graduate degree programs campus-wide.
Candidates are minimally required to have an earned doctorate from an accredited university in curriculum and instruction or a related degree, and at least three years of grades 5 – 9 teaching experience. ABD with expected completion by the Fall 2016 start date will be considered. Preferred qualifications include the demonstrated ability to form partnerships with local schools; a history of working with/for historically marginalized students; scholarship directed to matters of middle level education; and, a demonstrated ability to work collegially with other members of an academic department.
