The School of Social Transformation at Arizona State University (ASU) invites applications for a Postdoctoral Fellow with an anticipated start date of July 2015. 

Under guidance of principal investigators for an exciting, nationally recognized NSF-funded multi-year program (compugirls.org), the successful candidate will take on the following leadership roles in the project: conduct trainings, develop research agendas related to program activities associated with gender equity and technology, build collaborator networks, seek out and/or create funding opportunities, develop a strategic vision for building and managing digital programs and projects, and further the mission of social science and humanities research at ASU.

The successful candidate will also collaborate on select digital research projects, including the use of analytical and curatorial tools, technology, etc. to help research teams achieve goals; develop prototype demonstration projects for use by others; leverage existing institutional resources for
extending impact of existing data and project outputs; and provide training, group instruction or workshops as appropriate.

This is a one-year fully funded position with the possibility of renewal contingent upon satisfactory performance, availability of resources, and the needs of the university.

Minimum and desired qualifications can be demonstrated through formal or informal educational settings. Minimum qualifications include: 1) Ph.D. or Ed.D. in related field of education, digital humanities, information science, sociology, and/or gender studies, 2) experience working in an  interdisciplinary social science environment, 3) demonstrated familiarity with current work in critical feminist studies,
critical digital media, and/or critical pedagogy, 4) demonstrated record of effectiveness mentoring of
students, 5) strong written/oral communication skills and 6) practical and theoretical experience implementing and researching culturally responsive pedagogical practices and their effectiveness with diverse populations.

Desired qualifications include: 1) demonstrated experience developing/administering programs, events, and collaborative research projects, 3) experience with new media and technology applications for research and development in digital technologies and 4) experience working on grant projects.
