2013 UT Latino Male Symposium, Friday, June 7th, 2013 (8am-2pm), at the Student Activities Center Ballroom (2201 Speedway, Austin, TX 78712) on the campus of the University of Texas at Austin.

Latino male students have among the lowest high school graduation and post-secondary enrollment rates in the country, and this symposium seeks to raise critical awareness and instigate action on the part of educational and community stakeholders. Since 2011, we have convened this meeting to discuss this ongoing educational challenge facing our communities and our state. Over 500 professionals have joined us in the last two years to advance this important discussion, and we expect another great turnout this year. We hope you can join us.

The UT Latino Male Symposium is hosted by Project MALES, and initiative of the Division of Diversity & Community Engagement at UT-Austin. We are especially thankful to our major sponsors that help to make this event such a success: the Hispanic Scholarship Fund, the Gates Millennium Scholars Program, TG, and the Greater Texas Foundation.

Registration is free, but seating is limited. To register go to http://latinomalesymposium.eventbrite.com. Parking is available at campus garages, and standard rates do apply.
