Assistant/Associate Professor in Cognitive Development or Related Field

The Department of Curriculum & Instruction at St. John’s University in
Queens, New York is seeking applications for one tenure track position
in Cognitive Development or related field.

Responsibilities include: Teaching graduate and undergraduate classes,
as well as advisement, participation on committees, doctoral student
mentoring, service to the University and local community. It also
includes working collaboratively in and across departments to develop
and or enhance new programs.

Qualifications: An earned doctorate in Learning and Cognition or
related field is required; a record of research/ publications, grants
implementation, and scholarly presentations at professional
organizations.

Preference will be given to candidates with: Classroom teaching
experience in K-12 settings, experience with large- and small-scale
studies, evidence of innovative and effective pedagogy, thorough
knowledge of assessment, and background in teacher education.

This position is subject to a comprehensive background screen, with
